about

This is a pretty overt reference to the virus and the trouble people were having dealing with the notion of a lockdown in the spring. As it became impossible to gather together for recording sessions we realized that we would have to go totally remote. So we reached out to our former rhythm section, Ian and Dan Francia, who are both accomplished recording engineers, and they contributed wonderful and totally unexpected tracks that helped make the song much more than we had imagined. It also marked a welcome return to our two family lineup. More to come from this group in future releases.

lyrics

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should

Some things break like glass
It’s just a small mistake
Some things fade away
Like they never were

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should

Keep me close at hand
Like a glove that fits
Lock me in your heart
Where I wanna be

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should
Just because you should, doesn’t mean you can
